The Arizona Wildcats currently have a uniform contract with Nike. We have 15 basketball uniforms in our database for the Arizona Wildcats and are working to add more to Uniform Critics. Feel free to contact us with any uniform designs for this team that we may be missing.

Prior to a Nike Elite redesign in 2008, the Wildcats went 10 years in iconic wide-paneled uniforms that saw many high-profile wins in the regular season and the NCAA Tournament.

Arizona’s “CATS” wordmark stretched vertically on the side panels of shorts and set the program aside from others in the PAC-10 with a unique look. The Wildcats were one of four teams to debut Nike’s first major uniform overhaul since the 1990s in 2008, joining Ohio State, Syracuse and Florida.

The form-fitting uniforms and baggier shorts were made of lightweight material.

In 2012, the Wildcats were one of a few Nike teams to don special Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms, silver threads with team-colored accents and a “ZONA” wordmark. The Hyper Elite program honors eight universities that have national championships in swoosh apparel.

Numerals and lettering on the uniforms were reflective and shorts featured laser cut details. On the back of each jersey above the numeral are stars indicating a program’s national championship year, 1997 in Arizona’s case.

That same season, Arizona moved to its current look with shoulder-stripes Dri-Fit threads and accented shorts. On the left side of shorts, Arizona’s “CATS” wordmark can be seen in contrasting colors. The school’s primary “A” logo is shown on the opposite perforated side panels.

Arizona currently has three different primary Hyper Elite uniform options — white at home, red on the road and a navy alternate. Each set features Nike Aerographics on the back located behind numerals and the nameplate.

Arizona’s team specific design includes a cactus and setting sun.
