One of college basketball’s first non-Nike programs to don the fan favorite volt shade of green and yellow was Baylor toward the end of the 2012 season.
Baylor is one of three Adidas-sponsored schools that allowed for jersey sleeves during the company’s “Adizero” campaign in 2013 that featured zubaz-inspired shorts and fluorescent uniform colors.
Baylor’s “electricity” threads weren’t ground-breaking, but players and uniform critics alike enjoy the flashy apparel. Baylor’s primarily black volt alternate is its best look with neon accents.
The Bears’ traditional green and white remains the preferred choices on gameday with a slick all-gold alternate option worn at home. Adidas’ home threads for the Bears feature a green “BAYLOR” wordmark, collar and numerals wrapped in gold.
The program’s recognizable “BU” emblem falls on the shorts. Baylor’s current secondary logo, a ferocious bear head, is usually displayed on its volt attire. The Bears’ women’s basketball team, led by Brittney Griner in recent years, has several different alternates including a heather gray, shimmery get up designed by Nike.
Like Baylor’s football team, the Lady Bears are outfitted by the swoosh and have some of the most unique combinations in their respective sport.
