Boston College’s current Under Armour basketball uniforms made their debut with much anticipation in 2010 after the Eagles spent previous years donning Reebok threads.

New to the hoops scene, Under Armour’s attention to detail with Boston College’s maroon and gold color scheme and Jesuit tradition was the perfect marriage. The apparel giants kept the Eagles’ italicized “BOSTON COLLEGE” wordmark but added a welcomed twist — a stained glass effect within jersey numerals.

The stained glass zig-zagged lines were printed on shorts as well, attaching themselves to the Eagles’ interlocking “Eagle BC” logo at the knee to the left of two contrasting vertical stripes. School mottos and inspirational saying are printed inside the collar, a direct correlation to some of the things Nike does with its sponsored schools on the hardwood and the gridiron.

Current Under Armour uniform options in Chestnut Hill include white and maroon at home, maroon and white on the road and a gold alternate worn occasionally for home games. While Boston College’s team specific font hasn’t changed in the last decade, the program’s switch from Reebok to Under Armour has created a more simple, but appealing look.

With Reebok, the Eagles’ uniforms resembled what the Cleveland Cavaliers donned in the mid 2000s, maroon and white jerseys with wide gold shimmery piping.
