UNIFORM HISTORY

The Trojans were one of 11 swoosh-sponsored teams during the 2012-13 season to don Nike’s “large logo” alternate road uniforms, a look that first appeared 13 years ago. In place of the school’s traditional “TROJANS” wordmark was the USC’s primary “Spartan” logo.

The Trojans first adopted similar black alternates with cardinal and gold accents during the 2007-08 season with a “SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA” wordmark in place of a logo. The Trojans currently have three other Nike uniform options including an alternate all-gold get up with a full “SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA” wordmark.

USC is one of two Nike-sponsored teams in the PAC-12 (Oregon State) with four different wordmarks across its uniform options. USC sports “TROJANS” on its home whites and “USC” across road cardinals.

In the mid 2000s before transitioning into Nike’s modern current look, USC’s font was script style on its home uniform and the threads featured wider contrasting side panels and the interlocking “SC” retro graphic on the right knee.

The Trojans’ alternate gold jerseys were not one-tone like the current get ups, instead utilizing wide white stripes with cardinal piping that stretched from underneath the arm to the bottom of shorts.
