The UMass Minutemen currently have a uniform contract with Adidas. We have 3 football uniforms in our database for the UMass Minutemen and are working to add more to Uniform Critics. Feel free to contact us with any uniform designs for this team that we may be missing.

Adidas provided the Minutemen will a full uniform makeover in 2012, transitioning UMass into the brand’s elite Tech-Fit and less-is-more apparel realm.

Black accents and piping along the side of jerseys have vanished and a stylized “UMASS” has been added to the front across all looks. Base-layers feature “UMASS” on the right sleeve and the program’s mascot — Sam the Minuteman — on the left.

The biggest switch was the decision to go from white helmets to black for the first time ever with an updated, more modern logo.

UMass is expected to unveil another shell, maroon with a white facemask and stripes, in 2013. The program’s white helmets are being updated to include metal flakes.

In all, the Minutemen will have 27 different helmet-jersey-pants combinations at their disposal. The school’s popular all-maroon option at home is still available but it has taken a backseat to an all-black alternate. White jerseys with maroon numerals remain the most clean and are sharp when paired with maroon pants.

All-white is another competitive look. From 1970-2011, UMass donned white shells with maroon accents. Previously with Nike, Umass donned all-maroon at home and white on the road, uniforms categorized by shoulder piping and a two-color collar that ended in a pentagon at the crest.

The template was one of the swoosh’s most basic, so current threads are definitely a step up.
