UNIFORM HISTORY

From royal blue and yellow, to navy and white, back to navy and gold. After winning the Super Bowl in 1999 in their familiar blue and yellow digs with horned shells, the St. Louis Rams moved into the 21st century with an advanced color scheme — millennium blue and century gold.

Blue pants made their historic debut in 2003 and are a current favorite on the road and at home as part of an all-navy look. White pants made their official return after a 34-year hiatus in 2006. The Rams donned the gold and navy-striped white pants during the preseason in 2001 and 2003.

White pants were the only gameday choice for the Rams from 1950-72 when they were located in Los Angeles. Yellow pants returned to the franchise in 1973 and stayed until the overhaul in 2000 when yellow was altered to gold. The Rams have worn navy shells with some sort of horned design on gamedays since 1950.

Colors have changed drastically, but the design hasn’t. The Rams were stationed in Cleveland for nine years before moving to Los Angeles in 1946. They became the St. Louis Rams in 1995. Current uniform combinations include all-navy at home with gold accents, all-white on the road and navy pants away from the dome.

The Rams have worn a 90s era throwback, complete with a classic helmet, for at least one game since 2009.

The Rams dropped metallic gold pants from uniforms options prior to the 2012 season.
